DEFINITION:
CONNECTIVISM: Is a theoretical framework for understanding learning in a digital age. It emphasizes how internet technologies such as web browsers, search engines, wikis, online discussion forums, and social networks contributed to new avenues of learning.
IMPLICATIONS:Connectivism is a learning theory coined by George Siemens.
In instructional design, there are many ways that Connectivism is useful. Frances Bell wrote in Connectivism: A Network Theory for Teaching and Learning in a Connected World that an educator can utilize Connectivism with 5 steps:
